A Wild Day for Richard and Jessica!

The wild animal park is one of Richard and Jessica's favorite spots to spend time so it was a natural to choose it as the location for their ceremony and reception. What an unbelievable place to get married and a favorite of mine as well. The top picture is the view from the reception site which is called the Mombasa Pavilion and the ceremony site was just as amazing. The zoo put on a private animal showing for the guests during cocktail hour, it was a toss up between the Anteater and the Alligator for crowd favorite. It was a beautiful day and the newlyweds enjoyed it to the fullest!

Erin & Marcelo Tie the Knot at the Prado!

Erin and Marcelo made it easy on themselves by having both the ceremony and reception at the Prado. The wishing well is a great spot for nuptials and the ballroom is a classic, I've said it before, the Prado does a great job! We had a custom gobo for the newlyweds and a photo montage as well, always a crowd favorite. 150 guests attended and a fine time was had by all!

Dear Mike,
Thank you very much for providing the ceremony and reception music, the stunning gobo light, helping with the photo montage and for making my wedding the most amazing day of my life. Working with you was truly a pleasure, you showed the utmost professionalism...yet at the same time you seemed as though you were one of our guests because I truly felt like we had gotten to know you so well. I cannot thank you enough, my big day was truly memorable and you helped make that all possible...you're the best!
Fondly,
Marcelo & Erin

Here and there...

It's been a busy few weeks with a nice diverse mix of events...I provided the tunes for a "Going Green" festival hosted by the Copley Corporation and learned a lot. Did you know it takes over 400 years for a plastic bottle to degrade? I'm now into refillable water bottles! Roche Pharmaceuticals kept me busy for two events they held at the Westin San Diego and I also got to spend time with Blue Cross at La Costa and Medgate at the San Diego Zoo0. I wrapped up the month of February doing the music mix for an awesome fashion show put on by Nieman Marcus at the Hilton Torrey Pines. Rene Roques produced the show.

Back at the Bristol Court

It had been a while since I'd done a reception at the Bristol Court hotel downtown, I forgot what a fun venue it can be. Besides having a kind of NY/San Francisco funky appeal you've got to love a roof that slides open. Mark and Dana's reception was perfect with a full dance floor under the stars and fun all around. They did some neat seating vignettes and stayed with a Black and White color scheme which is perfect in that room...we had a killer sunset to boot!
