Troy & Christine - The Admiral Kidd Club

Troy is the Associate Director of Sales catering sales manager at the Kona Kai Resort and has been in the business for several years. He has seen a lot of DJ's and I was excited when he asked me to be the DJ for he and Christine's celebration. Check out Christine's dress, it was vintage and amazing. A great night of fun and dancing with both the ceremony and reception at Admiral Kidd. They had a wonderful sparkler send off at the end of the night and then hopped in a classic 1935 Packard Limo to head off on their new life together!

Will & Tiffany - The Wild Animal Park

The Wild Animal Park is an amazing venue for a wedding. Will and Tiffany had the ceremony in the "Heart of Africa" and just before the ceremony was to begin I got to see a baby giraffe galloping down the hill for a drink. What an incredible sight! The reception was in the Mombasa pavilion and it was a blast. The newlyweds and their guests had the maximum amount of fun and the night flew by. Chelsea Anne was the photographer and Gayle Feallock was the coordinator, both are great to work with!

A Girl Scouts Urban Campout Auction Record!

This was my 6th year as auctioneer for the annual Girl Scouts Urban Camp out fundraiser. Carol LaBeau was the emcee again this year, we had a great time and raised almost $400,000...a new record! It was a sports theme and as always Debbie Fitzhugh and her team did an amazing job. We had Party Donuts as well and even the Geico Gecko loved the donuts!!

Party Donuts at the Ivy!

This was a corporate event for a venture capital group out of Las Vegas, they LOVED the donuts. We had a great topping station for the donuts and they were a bigger hit then the Sushi!!

Leo & Julia - Tower 23

The La Valencia is one of my all time favorite reception locations and Leo was my favorite banquet captain there. He has since graduated SDSU and moved into a catering managers position at LV. Needless to say it was a huge honor when he asked me to DJ his and Julia's reception at Tower 23 in Pacific Beach. It was a Wednesday night with 40 close friends and family that came to have fun and that they did. Leo and Julia make a great couple and it was a blast to watch them enjoy their celebration...a bit of Tequila was consumed that night!!

Cliff & Patrece - The Hilton Mission Bay

If you are looking for great venue where you can host your reception outside take a look at the newly remodeled Hilton on Mission Bay. They have a private area off the main pool area that is an awesome spot for a reception under the stars. Cliff and Patrece had the ceremony in the Gazebo area by the bay and then poolside for a night of fun and dance with family and friends. Patrece was on the floor most of the night! I've been working with all my favorite photographers lately and this night it was Kristina from San Diego Wedding Candids. Another pro and always a pleasure to work with!

Jeff & Holly - The Lodge at Torrey Pines

Jeff and Holly were just a heck of a lot of fun...this was non stop party from the start! The Lodge did a fantastic job and the 4 course meal was delicious. I did a little up lighting in the room and washed the dance floor with a star burst gobo, it was all that was needed to warm up an already beautiful room. I also had the pleasure of working with my good friend Joe Stein of Studio Paris, great to work with and an amazing photographer. At the end of the night this was one happy couple and it was a pleasure to have a been a part of the celebration!

Rachel & Adam - The Coronado Marriott

I think the highest compliment you can get in this business is when someone else in the industry asks you do be a part of their wedding. Rachel (Bliss Events) is one of my favorite coordinators in town and I was thrilled when she asked me to handle the music for her celebration. It was a perfect reception with a great team of vendors and a fun group of family and friends. On photo's it was Jared Bauman, he's a great shooter and it was a blast to work with him. Jared had Brant Bender along as the second shooter and I know the photos will be awesome! I also got to work with Norma from NR3 video productions , I knew they did great work and she was wonderful to work with as well. The team at the Coronado Marriott are always pros, it was a smooth reception and the newlyweds had a blast. We had one of the best Hora's I've had in a while!! I almost forgot, Haydees Creative Florals did an amazing job with the centerpieces. I've been working with Haydee a lot and I strongly suggest you consider her if you need a florist!

Hi Mike,
How can we thank you enough for all the great things you have done for us?! First of all, you did a fantastic job as our wedding DJ - just as I knew you would :) Our guests have commented so many times about how full the dance floor was all night, and they all give you credit for a job very well done!!! Anyway -- you were fabulous and we appreciate it VERY much! The gobos looked perfect too...thanks for being such a great person and a great DJ!

Vacation!

It's good to get away and my wife and I took a little road trip last week. We both love NYC so we flew in there and checked into the Hilton Times Square (the sunset photo is from our room) for 3 days. Great food and a two great Broadway shows, Mama Mia the first night and Boeing, Boeing on the second. We then drove up to Ocean City, MD with a brief stop in Atlantic City for lunch on the boardwalk. A couple of days having fun in the sun in OC and a little golf with my friend Tom and his sons Rob (My Godson) and Garrett. It was an awesome trip with no drama!!
