ANDREW & KAREN - THE PRADO AT BALBOA PARK

September 24, 2010

The couples first dance was a fantastically choreographed ensemble to L.O.V.E. by Nat King Cole

The dance floor was beautifully decorated with up lighting and a bamboo gobo wash by Entertainment At Large. The entire event was coordinated by Kelly Aull of Mint Weddings which I always find a joy to work with. The guests where all impressed with the presented video montage and the ever so great cuisine by the catering team at The Prado At Balboa Park.

There was nonstop dancing fueled by some favorites like Dynamite by Taio Cruz, Just a Dream by Nelly, Bust a Move by Young MC and Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison....we love beautiful evenings like these!!!

Dear Mike,
Thank you for your card, you were such a great DJ and made the night a blast! So many of our friends had such a good time that night. Thanks for the wonderful memories!!

JAMES & MICHELLE - THE HILTON TORREY PINES

September 18, 2010

The tone to this elegant celebration was set right from the get-go! The couple had a lovely ceremony to the backdrop of beautiful strings melodies from Caprice Strings. After the ceremony and Grand entrance the beautiful bride changed out of her Vera Wang wedding dress and made sure she donned a different look throughout the evening by changing into what would surprisingly and stunningly would be four dresses...it was amazing and kept everyone wanting to see what she would be wearing next!

During their First Dance they twirled to "Stick With You" by the Pussycat Dolls

They made sure that the evening was completely mesmerizing, from the main dinning area to the surrounding outskirts of the ballroom. There was incredible lighting throughout and it  completely connected  inside-out with detailed LED uplights from Entertainment At Large in a soft fairytale lavender that provided an enchanting color wash of the trees outside the pavilion Ballroom at the Hilton Torrey Pines.

The guests recharged their batteries with fresh mini donuts by Sensational Treats in preparation for the dance floor!

The DJ Mike Hogan got the party in motion with awesome beats like Dynamite, Taio Cruz, Club Can't Handle Me, Flo Rida, Bust a Move, Young MC and the like which had everyone jamming till the lights came on!!!

What an unbelievably sweet and energized celebration, it was wonderful to be a part of this very special day!

ANDREW & CATHY - THE INN AT RANCHO SANTA FE

Andrew & Cathy Sundsmo ~ September 5, 2010

It all began with a beautiful outside ceremony on the garden lawn at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. After cocktails everyone was gathered on the reception area where the couple had their 1st Dance to "Then" by Brad Paisley. The traditional father and daughter dance was a fantastic moment shared to "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.

After the intimate moments were saved in everyone's heart forever, the guests all joined in  on the dancing and packed the dance floor for 30 minutes prior to dinner!

After dinner, everyone couldn't wait to get back into party mode and immediately returned to the dance floor for more dancing to  PYT,  Michael Jackson, California Gurls, Katy Perry, Sleeper Hit, Wagon Wheel and Old Crow Medicine Show.
Everyone was in a celebratory mood and continuously energized the party vibe!!

Hi Mike,

I hope you had a nice weekend. I just wanted to send you a quick note to say thank you for doing such a wonderful job at the wedding. You were truly AMAZING!!! The whole ceremony, cocktail hour and reception went so perfectly....and it was all because of you! You are so talented and you know all the right things to say and just when to say them. Andrew and I both had such a fun time at the wedding and it will always be one of our most special memories.
Thank you for setting up everything perfectly for the ceremony and for the reception. The music for the ceremony was perfect. I don't think there was a dry eye in the audience. Andrew and I missed the cocktail hour, by my parents friends and our friends told us that the music was really fun. And the music at the reception couldn't have been better. It was so much fun to see everyone dancing and having such a great time. You did a perfect job announcing everyone's names too for the bridal party entrance and all the speeches.
Thank you so much Mike for making our big day such a special event. We are so grateful that you were our DJ and we will recommend you above and beyond to any of our friends who are getting married in the future!
Thank You,
Cathy (Schmitt) Sundsmo

ROBERT & COURTNEY- HUMPHREY'S RESORT SHELTER ISLAND

Robert & Courtney Broderick ~ September 4, 2010

Everyone enjoyed a glorious evening, the celebrated took place in the perfect climate for an out doors wedding at Humphrey's by the Bay....guests where greeted by a pre-ceremony combination of Reggae and Island sounds.
They glanced into each other's eyes as they danced their first dance to "Forever Mine" by The O'Jays
The bride and her proud father danced to "I Loved Her First" by Heartland
The reception area was just beautiful and I must admit that I loved the gobo on the stage!
These where just genuinely great families that enjoyed every moment of their coming together mingling and dancing the night away to songs like I Like It, Pitbull, Shook Me All Night Long & Hot Hot Hot!

Mr & Mrs Ott ~ September 3, 2010

The Lodge at Torrey Pines was a fantastic location for a perfect ceremony and celebration.

The beautiful couple chose to groove to Sam Cooke's "That's where it's at" for their 1st dance and the sweetness of the moment magnified their lovely union to the entire room....it was a moment everyone will savor for ever.

Then the celebration kicked into full party gear where everyone boogied to upbeat hits like Blister In The Sun, Dynamite and the like!!

The entire evening was filled with such great memories, music and dancing that no one wanted to stop!!

Brent & Tammy - The Thursday Club

What a wonderful couple to work with, from the fist time we met I knew this would be a special reception. Rev. Powers started things off with a beautiful ceremony and it was all fun after that! Brent and Tammy chose "Yellow" by Jem as a first dance and the hit of the night was "Dynamite" by Tao Cruz. Taylor Abeel was the photographer and Culinary Concepts was the caterer, they have amazing food! All the best to Brent and Tammy!
